Ingredients

  • 1 single serving container plain or vanilla greek yogurt or dairy free yogurt
  • 2/3 cup any milk or milk substitute of your choice
  • 2 tbsp natural peanut butter
  • 3 tsp pure cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp ground flax
  • 1 tsp cocoa nibs optional but great addition
  • 1 frozen banana cut in chunks

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender cup, give it a few shakes to mix together.
  • Process in blender until smooth and frothy.
  • Pour into a glass, grab a straw and enjoy!

Notes

*you can use a fresh, well done banana of course, however a frozen banana gives smoothies a much better texture and has the added benefit of making it cold.
*tip: if you have well done bananas sitting on your counter, peel them and cut them into 4 pieces, then freeze in a container and have them ready to use for your smoothies

I know you’ve heard this one before…
“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day”
We know, we get it, but unfortunately it’s not always easy to eat the right things, to fuel up and start the day feeling energized.
I mean, there’s coffee, of course.

Oh, coffee you know I love thee…but, sadly you are not enough!

The Solution is a smoothie

So here you go, another delicious smoothie idea for you.
Perfect for busy mornings, this breakfast in a glass is healthy, high in protein, with extra fiber and essential vitamins. It’s vegetarian and can easily be made vegan with the use of dairy substitutes and, it will keep you satisfied for hours.
Winner all around!
If you’re new to smoothie making, and a bit intimidated by those crazy veggie/fruit combos, like I was, this one is a great starter. It might just change your mind about the wonders of smoothie making.

More smoothie ideas are coming your way, so check back with us soon.
And yes, some will involve fruits and veggies, because we really do need more of those in our lives.
All of them will be nothing short of delicious.
I promise.
