Pistachio + Banana + Coconut Breakfast Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup shelled pistachios
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 tsp cocoa nibs
  • 1/3 cup plain (or vanilla or coconut flavour) Greek yogurt both diary and non dairy versions work well
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 frozen banana peeled and quartered
  • 3/4 cup coconut water

Instructions

  • Add pistachios, coconut and cocoa nibs to smoothie blender and pulse until it all turns to powder.
  • Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into glass, add a straw and enjoy.

Notes

*optional ingredients you can add to this smoothie are:
1 tsp ground flax seeds
a few fresh spinach leaves
